Congratulate me!
I finally beat a monster named procrastination, tough fight, but I WON! ^_^
So finally me mehndi designs are here well out of 80 pictures I selected only 10, I may upload them later.
I think I got the hang of the cone this year. The designs turned out pretty and neat, and I shall boast :P
All thanks to my mom who let me use her hands and feet all these vacations.
I love her so much! <3
I also did put or apply henna on friends and family friends this year, although this post has no pictures of those designs, I'll put them in another post.
Henna in itself is not hard, you learn as you go and then your hand just gets used to it and the designs turn out to be just the way you want them to be.
Here are mine:

This one was just done today, and I absolutely loved it. The shading added life to the petals. The color wasn't that amazing but meh, I love it anyways. Also this design is entirely my own imagination or creation . Do you notice the bandage thingy in the right picture? I have a sever pain in my arm. >_<

My hands are so tiny, this one isn't very special, but it looks good when you remove the henna. The stain you see is from a mistake I made. This one barely took me 5 minutes.

Mommy's arm! I just wanted to randomly fill it like how brides get theirs done. It looks good enough ,at least everyone complimented me. It took around 30 minutes.

You all should remember this from last year. It's so much better this time, last time it just looked like bugs playing. This is what I put my mom for Eid. Pretty, isn't it?

Her foot!  I just wanted to practice these new kind of flowers I learnt. I liked how it turned out, although such designs aren't meant for your toes.

These are a bunch of my early designs that I started practicing in the 2nd week of Ramadan. I was amazed that I had become more fluent and neater this year. Excuse any hair you see. Plus these are simple beginner designs.

So that's it for this post. Hope you loved them and that my progress inspires you to learn henna as well.
Have an awesome day!!!

So Sorry for the late update :)
I don't have any pictures from the 3rd day since I didn't really get ready that day.
The first 2 days went boring, dead boring,so I don't have much to say.But the 3rd day it rained and I enjoyed it under the open sky :D  Always believe in miracles :) because they do happen.... I love the contrast in both day both in terms of colour and price :P I know the second day makeup pictures were taken by a webcam,so they are of low resolution. The looks from both the day are pretty similar except day one is a bit darker. And YAY!! I finally got Churidaar sleeves. The second dress indeed is a unique style which I was very unsure of ,while buying,it turned out to be great dress complemented by all :D

❣Have a nice day!!!❣

P.S.:I'll soon post a few product reviews and Mehndi 2012

Dhu-al-Hijjah is the month of pilgrimage, the Hajj which is one of the five pillars of Islams, obligatory on all Muslims who are of age, have the health and wealth to do so.It consists of elements from the time of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
It begins from the 8th of Dhul-Hijja till the 12th corresponds to (24th October of this year). They are quiete a few rites that are performed during Hajj,an since I am no scholar you better refer to a good book on Hajj.Again, Hajj shows equality amongsts Muslims of all caste and races, and is an act of submission to Allah.
After Ramy al-Jamarat (Stoning of the devil), is the slaughtering of the animal,to symbolise the mercy Allah had on Propher Ibrahim (AS) by replacing his son with a ram, that was then sacrificed. After this Muslims all around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) or Bakra Eid (Bakra=Goat),which lasts for three days.
Those who have not performed the Hajj, will also offer the sacrifice, which is then divided into 3 parts, one for the family itself, other for neighbours or relatives and the last one for the needy.Oh and the days of the Hajj, people who aren't able to perform it ,can spend their time fasting, reading the Quran all of which is very rewarding.

****Disclaimer: I am no scholar, this was just to enlighted my readers ,if you wish to seek Islamic guidance,do go for more authenticated sources.****

OO! Finally, the Eid series get over phewww!!
So Eid day 3 was heckka heckka tiring. At first I didn't get ready, later when I actually did,I couldn't get completely ready 'coz we had unexpected guests >_< I know it's so annoying, I just did what I could in a spur of a moment.Later on,they really liked what I did with my eyes,so one of them asked me to French-braid her hair and give her a make-over :p I know I was so proud of myself.Had hard time doing the eye make-up as she was a mono-lid :/
Anyways, after they left,we met up with some friends to go to the park and I guess it was already 10 PM when we reached, parking issues, heat,I was dying out of boredom, later on we left at 12 AM and we couldn't find anything to eat :O Everything literally everything was closed, and one of the ladies, seriously had issues she just couldn't even for formality sake say yes, to any of the places we suggested. >_< . We got food around 2 AM  :'(

I am wearing a dress which was meant for last Eid,but never got to wear it.I was too tired to take any pictures it was already 3 AM and I was getting sick of the dress -__- .Apart from that , the shoes obviously do not match, but these were comfy for the park and have become my new everyday pair of sandals :D Also the Churidaar pyjama looks like I got plaster on my legs :O .Ho! ,and the neck was too low,I was uncomfortable with the picture, so I edited it a bit :P
The ring is from a random street shop in Madinah :) and I finally learnt what to do with the Coastal Scents Eye Crayons {Crayon D'Dombre D'Oeil Eyeshadow Pencil) :D I used the colour Emerald (metallic emerald green) on the top of the wing and Vibrant Glam[ (metallic green (looks yellowish though) ] on the bottom :D

PS: School has started so I might be a li'l slow at posting :( Maybe every Thusday OR Friday)

Pretty simple outfit, but the red colour definitely adds magic to any dress :D
A-Line Dress maybe an inch above the ankle with Churidaar Pyjama :)
And has many different coloured panels on either sides of the dress and block-printed dupatta.Sleeves have a nice mesh-work.Its so simple you can even wear it at home :/

The bangles are Indian but I bought them from Pakistan, paired them with teal coloured shoes.I kept the make-up super decent, using neutral colours and used Teal colour eye-crayon to wing the eye-liner to give a slight pop of colour :D  Also the 4 picture is all the panels in the dress :P
Now for what we did on first day hmm..... oh yes! we went bowling out with neighbours and then head over to a Turkish restaurant for dinner :D

Shoes: Stylo
Ring: CatWalk (I guess) in Pakistan its over 3 years :P

Yes I know.. finally I'm back home and ready to blog!!So here's the first day's outfit : Elegant and yet girly ( I am super good at self-praising ehm ehm...).It was really a very long dress ankle-length-ed and also had net sleeves with a pleated/elastic cuff made from the same material as the Skirt part of the dress.Had a net dupatta/scarf and straight trousers. Also, I liked it after I wore it, because it appeared to be very boring when I bought it :D.And and I simply adore these sandals although they are super painful to walk in :P

Also I didn't really have any proper matching of jewellery so I wore these white dangling ones.Plus I wanted to keep it low with the accessories, as I was wearing make-up at the same time. The eye make seriously reminds me of the Pantomime Cat from Alice in Wonderland :D hehe I can see my Camera in my own eyes I am really poor at taking my own pictures :/
Now for how was the first day of Eid ,super tiring,we had a water problem in our apartment and I couldn't even take a bath >_< I know it sounds disgusting .And later on we went to the fireworks YAY!! and returned home.LOL ..Had one heck of a day!!!! :P

*Le poorly taken picture*

Shoes: Stylo
Earrings: Adore

**** First of all EID MUBARAK to everyone yayay!!!!!**

Now what's Eid,seriously google it -__- hehe just kidding it's something like Christmas but yet very different from it.Last for 3-4 days,a moment of celebration, for muslim all over the world. We have it twice a year, and this one is Eid-ul-Fitr.
Now what's Chaand Raat, translates into Moon Night, the night where people sight the moon,to mark the beginning of a new month Shawwal.
This is what the moon looks like :)

This year we had full 30 days of fasting, seriously I hate Geo News' Headlines  >.<
I was hoping for 29 ;) but no problems an extra blessed day, what harm would it have done.
So usually Chaan Raat is a time to prep yourself, haircutting, waxing, facial, massaging, you name it LOL.And most of all putting/applying Mehndi or Henna and my Eid's never complete without Mehndi ,some years before Bangles too were very important, but now I am just a little lazy, plus I have so maanny, that never break and my arms that never grow fat.so..yeah.
\
On Eid usually we meet one another,go for Eid prayer, here in the Middle East even Women go to the Masjid, but back home, usually they stay behind to prepare sweet dishes :D
Also every kid receives Eidi, not exactly kid I guess unmarried kid I guess uhh..anyways and dress wearing and also going to Amusement Parks and Fireworks!!!
Well for the past few years either we've been missing fireworks or maybe there wasn't any Show??..Also most of the day we spend it sleeping :P

Now For Mehndi over the years
**(DRUM ROLLLL!!!)**

Well, seriously we feel exploited Mehndi rates have become so high -___-
The reason 2009 and 2010 don't have two pictures is because I spent the Eid in Pakistan, and I guess I didn't get Mehndi applied or it wasn't worth a picture.
1st Picture from the left in the 2nd row was my attempt at Stencils didn't turn out that good.
The other two were freakin expensive and the last two gorgeous ones are from my BFF :D Also my hands are very tiny so well very rarely designs look good on me :P

And this year magically seriously magically even  I could apply it(last year all I did was scribble :P) without shaking and it turned out pretty good!! YAYAY I was so amazed and happy!! Good things do happens to you when you live positively :D

Only 8/9 days left to Eid!! YAY!!

This time of the year is the most exciting time..shopping,meeting with family.Eid just creates such a homely ambiance which is spread throughout the city ^-^
Okay but for stingy and indecisive people like me ,shopping is the most fearful experiences of our lives :/ . I am not a super miser-y person, but unlike my parents I just don't feel like buying so much at one go.
The biggest problem is that there aren't many Pakistani shops which sell,so only if you're lucky you get good clothes at good prices.

I tried bokeh-fying the picture so the dresses couldn't be very visible, but without much luck ended up with the above picture(which I know is badly edited).I know Eid is only for 3 days and the picture has 4 items. We bought only 1 and the rest 3 were for me to try on and check if they look good.(I know the shop-keepers were such good people and old friends of my Dad). They all looked good,so my big-hearted Dad suggested to keep them all,but you see we had a neighbour over, who went like ," What will you do with so many dresses, opening a boutique, huh?" How mean -_- ,people should learn to use their words carefully. So she doesn't "red-eye" my dresses, I bought one more and returned the others.

Seriously Eid shopping is like entering a haunted house,my parents forcing me to buy,me not wanting to buy such expensive clothing, time limit, high prices arggh!!! I was almost in tears :'(
Although one was a Hi-Lo dress, but not exactly in the colour I wanted,so I had to return that as well, what's the point of wasting money?
SO yep that's it for today :)
