**Review: Maybelline Illegal Length Fibre Extensions Mascara**

Finally, finally I have defeated all the odds and was able to present you all this post ;)

I bought this probably around May, and have used it in total 3 times, (because I prefer not wearing makeup always).

So here's the product a mascara (Readers: like duh, the title says so),but wait it's not a simple mascara, it has got fibers in it. YAY!! (*drumroll*).Plus I dunno about the packaging everywhere, but the one I picked up at Centrepoint was in the shape of a lash or at least that's what I thought so. It cost me about SAR 69.I didn't really care about the price, it claimed to make my lashes really long, so I wanted to buy it. :P

 

( I don't have the entire packaging's picture since I was so eager about opening it and all :P

who am I kidding? , just found quick picture I took!)

 

(Nothing interesting, I guess my "past me" knew my "future me" very well :P)

 

What the product says:

 

Build lashes with 4mm of measurable extensions! Illegal Length Mascara's fiber extensions break every law of lengthening. Created with the longest fibers ever in a mascara, Illegal Length's patented sealing formula and Fiber-Fix Brush give your lashes a dramatically longer look.

 

What my lashes are like:

 

I think that's important to tell you all, since the results will vary accordingly. I have naturally long and maybe thick lashes and they are naturally curled too (boasting much?) (Probably you guys would've seen better).Then why do you need a mascara? Well obviously I like them to be dramatic and bold and flash out saying "I have got mascara on!!".And you know we girls want more of everything :P.

 

What the product really does:

 

Okay I must say I was not expecting the result this product gave. My lashes OMG were so long!!! *screams with happiness*.I am not sure about the 4mm but they were definitely longer than normal.

 

Here are the results:

 

(Hahahaa I look retarded in the third picture, by the way can you see my camera in my eyes, they did get very watery because of taking so many pictures :P)

But can you guys believe these results?!? because I can't. :D

 I will have to agree that this a little bit more dramatic (maybe a tad bit scary) than I was going for :P

 I really love how it holds the curl well and opens up my eyes.

As for the product: It does what it claims (*boldifies the text*)

 

 

The above is a picture of what the wand/spoolie looks like. Nothing extraordinary just thin and simple. I am showing you a zoomed in version so that you guys can see the fibers in it ( I hope you can).

It gets on a lot of product on the first coat itself, (Sorry I took the pics a long while back so I don't remember which one it could be :/ ).

Best/Desired results can be achieve my applying multiple coats without letting each coat dry.

 

 

What I don't like about this product:

 

The formula can dry out your lashes and make them feel brittle or so I have experienced, because that's what I felt while getting it off like maybe I was breaking a lash or two.

It indeed is heavy, I don't know if it will weigh down straight lashes, it didn't do that to mine but it felt heavy throughout the day.

For those of you who hate clumpy lashes, I 'm afraid that it does clump them but that's not what I find problematic it's probably that the fibers kinda make my lashes look like they have split-ends. Otherwise I'm fine with the clumps.

 

 

Overall:

I like the effect it has on my lashes, definitely lengthening brightens up my eyes .

I rate this product  4 stars. (-1 for the dryness)

PS: Have you noticed how bb creams and tinted moisturizers have spread :P My wish has been granted. And also I wore a bit of makeup for this post and didn't curl my lashes .I'll try to update soon!!

✿✿ REVIEW: Garnier Skin Naturals : BB Cream / Miracle Skin Perfector ✿✿

 

I know pretty much I am repeating this for the nth time , but I always wanted BB creams / tinted moisturisers to come to the Middle East :D. And now I can't believe, it's all over the place!!

So currently the only one I was able to try (since my skin never stays normal) is the one by Garnier.Ever since I used the eye roll on and loved I always wanted Garnier to even make a BB Cream.I think in the US its marketed as the BB Cream whereas places like Singapore it's called the Miracle Skin Perfector but here it's marketed under both names .

 

 

 The packaging as you can see is pretty normal , nothing that eye-opening.

What it really does:

 

This is one of the reviews where I'm not highly impressed by the product , nevertheless:

 

-Moisturises really well

-Evens out skin

-Makes it luminous or shiny would be a better word to use (sometimes it can look a little greasy as soon as you apply it)

-Covers really well for BB Cream , has a build-able coverage (See pictures below)

-Has the most calming and beautiful scent to it.

-It stays on really well and keeps you looking fresh for a long time

-Doesn't cause your skin or scars to get red or blotchy at the end of the day (which is my problem with foundation ,which tends to make my skin look 10x bad at the end of the day)

-Covers blemishes / dry skin well doesn't make it look flaky

-Affordable SR 38 ( I guess)

 

 

(Covers well and adds shine to face,doesn't exageurate dry patches on skin)

 

 

 

(Shade Light/Clair shown. Gives a luminous finsh.)

 

 

What I (personally) don't like about the product:

 

-Has a very stick feel to it as soon as you apply it.

-For oily skin,it tends to make you look greasier.So cannot be used all on its own

-Packaging is not so great

-Limited shades ( I have to mix the light and medium shade to make the colours look less awkward for my face)

 

 

How I use it:

 

I mix the Medium (which is more orange-ish) and the Light/Clair shades together.

I then, aplly an even fine layer.If I need it more for areas like nose corners etc I apply a second coating.Wait for it to become less stick and then duat my face with loose powder.

 

 

Overall:

 

I think the product justifies its price and really is good for your skin,when it is NOT suffering from breakouts.Apart from that , makes you beam and gives you a fresh look , for a longer time.

I wish I could recommend it to people , but due to limited shades (only 3), it doesn't work for all skintones.

 

Over all I rate it 4 stars.

♕♕ Review: CLARINS Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch (Base) ♕♕

This is one of those expensive high end products bought at an impulse.I had been to Sephora ages before and wanted to  look for a foundation , I was just asking the lady if she had any foundation for flaky skin,so she showed me instead this base, which smoothens the skin and fills in pores,fine lines and wrinkles.I tested the product on my hand and seriously it felt like touching melted butter :D My skin was so freaking soft.I just had to buy this product both for my mom and myself.

What the product says:

Directions for use

I remember not really following the directions and seriously I thought it was the product that disappointed me.

1)Cleanse your face
2)Apply a thin layer all over the face focusing on the problem areas.Use as required.
3)Leave it be or after 5-10 mins, yes, after at least 5 mins apply your foundation.

**If your skin is very dry then use moisturizer. Wait 5 mins.Blot the skin.Apply the base and wait 5 mins again before applying your foundation.**

What it really does and points about the product:

-Really smooths out the skin
-Mattifies the skin and hence can be used alone but remember it's just a base not a concealer.
-Hydrates and gives skin a beautiful glow.
-It might feel heavy in the beginning but later on you don't feel anything ,light as air :D
-Contains Vitamin E and Acacia Micro-pearls , provides protection and hydration.
-Lasts long enough, keeping your foundation looking fresh , even for oily skin
-Really good for sensitive skin
-Non-comedogenic
-Comes with a spatula which is good since I don't like digging in with my fingers :o
-Doesn't work on dry patches caused due to acne , might even exaggerate them.
-Fills in fine lines and small pores, but I find it ineffective for large acne :/
-If you don't wait before applying foundation,foundation becomes slippery and wears off

I love the packaging it's just elegant and lady-like also the base itself comes in a pale pink colour (how cute is that)

I rate this product : ★★★★

-1 for a its highly priced  (SR 140) and the size is small (0.5 oz.)

❃❃REVIEW: VITA WHITE Facial Essence Mask Pack❃❃

 

This is just a filler review.The mask you see in the picture above is from a Japanese Store Daiso,which I was so happy to find,since all the Japanese stuff is so cute and innovative ^-^

I had bought this almost a year back,so that I could use it before any grand function.So many functions passed by and I never used it until 2 months back.

And that too during exams I was bored of studying and I thought why not use the mask.

I had seen a review on it , the lady who used had a very bad reaction from it,so I was scared as well.

What the product says:

(By the way since I used this two months back it's so hard to read the description off the picture that too with a shadowy cast :p)

 

Our mask pack shields the surface of the skin with a protective layer which also increases the skins temperature during the application.The layer prevents moisture from escaping,helps to revive,nourish,soften and oxygenate the skin while removing impurities.The concentrated? extract in the pure natural cotton mask contains a soft herbal aromatherapy scent for a relaxing experience.(Pheww ;-) )

And I guess from the packaging that it contains orange extract. :D Apart from that it contains ginkgo and arbutin :D

 

 

Orange obviously is enriched in Vitamin C and other essential oils with anti-oxidant properties that hep lighten skin tone.

Ginkgo is another anti-oxidant with anti-inflammatory properties which protects the skin from UVB rays and improves collagen production.Reduces redness and lightens pigmentation.

Arbutin is another effective skin lightening agent found in wheat and pear skin

 



 

Since I am not Japanese or Korean since that's where the product was made I don't know much of the ingredients , but I read another bloggers review , which said it contains ethanol

Directions for use:

Apply on clean face for 20-30 minutes and remove the mask and massage the residue onto your skin.

 

My thoughts on the product:

Well, I was amazed and wished that I used the product before.I have a very sensitive skin.I instantly felt my skin cooling and after 25 minutes of wearing the mask I removed it and gosh! was my face glowing even my mom asked what I had done to my face . It though had a very strange smell almost like Curry maybe my smell recognition / identification skills are bad, but it definitely wasn't a pleasant smell.But my skin was very calmed and lightened.It's only a mask and I am sure that one time use will not give anyone the desired results.

I will buy this product again , although I prefer trying out other products.

 

 

(Did you notice I still have some of my henna left on my hand from when  I did my Mehndi Post ;) )

 

The cotton sheet is heavily packed with the product.As you can see a mere contact left residue on my hand which obviously means it's good in transferring the product from the sheet to the face.Also its very sheer.The mask was way big for my face.But I guess some things just can't be helped.

Yep! I am reiewing an awsome product.I'm serious I was so surprised when I saw, literally all gurus on youtube and blogs, rave ,literally rave, about how super dooper magical this product was, I wanted to get one,but from where? It's so hard to find things here,but one day I was randomly scrolling a local pharaamcy that sells French products and I saw this on the list.I squealed with excitement, and went out to buy it that very day :D

 

 

Initially when I bought it , I wanted to be the first one to ever give a negative review about,I mean I never expect any product to work like magic,but this product,yes this one,it proved me wrong and I was so glad it did :D

 

As you guys see ,this is not the regular one, aka the Crealine, which is meant for all skin types,they didn't have it,but I was happy as I guess the Sebium is more subjected to my skin type that is oily or combination :D This one is with a blue tint and really soft scent almost like the one that comes from Johnson's & Johnson's baby products :')

-Refreshes and soothes skin instantly,perfect for after school

-Has the most amazing scent ever

-Makes the skin so smooth and soft

-Doesn't leave a greasy feel like other make-up removing wipes

-And all packed in a 250 ml bottle for SR 75

 

How I use it:

 

I use three cotton pads.Soak them about, when they are 60% wet with the product.Keep one one each eye, and press gently for 2-3 minutes and then swipe off.Turn the pad around and clean any left outs (which won't be needed) I even tried it for my waterline ,didn't sting me a bit ,but I wouldn't recommend  to anyone to try that..Use the last cotton pad to remove make-up off my face and neck..Gahh!!, it does wonders, I was appalled by the result.Even my mom said, that it didn't look like I had heavy make-up on before.Instant re freshness.Almost reminded me, of how my skin felt after my first facial treatement :D

 

 

I used it to remove make-up on Eid .Can u make out my lids, liner and lashes (hahaha) in the picture above??I was so surprised to find my eyes squeaky clean :)

 

Just check out the two pictures,of the swatches of all kind of make-up products ,I did on my arm.Can you see the magic of this product!!Are you left completely dumbfounded?!? Yeah,me too..Looks good as new :)

You will also be amazed that even if you have no make-up on,how much dirt can it get rid off from your face.Simply love the product.Definitely will make a re-purchase and recommend it to everyone.

Review: Isabelle Dupont LipBalm

YaY!!!Finally, may first term exams get over :D

So to get back in shape I'll start off with a short and sweet review,featuring pictures from my new camera (Canon PowerShot SX 240 HS) :D

How I came across the product:

 

I always was in love with my Labello Fruity Shine in Strawberry,but couldn't find that particular flavour/colour.So I saw this at the counter of my nearby Pharmacy so I bought the "Pink Gloss" first,(it's my second time buying it) and later on the "Strawberry Season" to replace my Labello.

 

 

 

What I think of this/these product(s):

 

I absolutely adore them their bullets are not flat but shaped like our everyday lipsticks!!

So you have a precise application.I must say they look like those fake kiddo lipsticks we bought as a kid,so I wasn't sure I'd put them on.But OMG these are the perfect ones for me.They make your lips incredibly soft due to Shea Butter(pink) and Primrose Oil(red) and have glossy finish.They are tinted another reason to love them and perfect for all those who go to schools with a "no make-up policy"

I must say the packaging is very kiddish,but I don't really care my bullets are not very sharp because they've been used over a month.And as far as the smell goes it smells like crayons but once on your lips ,you can't smell a thing :) As they are only lip balms they obviously don't have long-lasting finish but they really fill us the cracks in your lips , rather than making them obvious as other lip balms do.Oh and the sad part is they don't have any SPF in them particularly these two I don't know about the other flavours. 

 

 

Here are the swatches.You can see the colours are really "pretty and shiny"!!

 

I'd recommend this product to anyone for all ages.I guess males can use it as these lip balms come in other flavours which  I assume are not tinted :)

What it does:

Really in short everything it claims,it's just so amazing, I can't tell you!! It's obviously moisturising enough,at first it was a li'l greasy but later on  it just became matte, I was really really surprised,it didn't give a whitish cast on my face ,neither did I feel I had something on my face,it is really light-weight and stays on well.The skins becomes really smooth which is actually very compatible with my foundation routine.Moreover, it's not sticky, just perfect doesn't smell so bad and is the perfect base for my make-up :D And I haven't shown any allergic reaction to it ,neither does it break me out.I recommend this to everyone 'coz it's simply amazing :D.Oh! and I apply it using the five-dot system,so I get an even layer.The only thing got me a tad bit sceptical was applying it only 15 minutes before leaving,which obviously I don't have time for,so I don't know whether its as effective or not. Rating it 5 Stars !!

    That's pretty much it for this entry :D
It cost me around SR42 which is quiet less than what I paid for the Nivea sunscreen :D

What it does: Does exactly what it does,this product amazes me,When I first bought it a year ago I was sceptical about trying it out as previous Garnier products caused an allergy on my face.But when I first put it on my eyes,it was the best feeling ever.The liquid is transparent,and the metal roller which not only massages the under-eye area but also gives a cool feeling to it. Instantly? hmmm that's a little exaggerating but it does make your eyes look less swollen and not so dark.Roll it gently under the yes for 30 seconds and then pat gently and wait for the magic.I like the slim container and the product dispenses of really easily,just give it a little shake before applying.And this awesomeness is just for SR 22!!! We just loves this product so much :D

What it does:
I just loooooove this product and I have no words for how amazing this product is.Just similar to it's sister product but has one tiny change it's tinted YAY!! It's available in two shades over here : Light-002 (which is sold as Sheer Tint in the US) and Medium-003 (Medium/Deep).I use the latter and my mom the former.And we both love this product.I am on the second bottle and  I have no complaints with the product or the packaging :D It dispenses of really well and blends in really good.

As you can see that's the amount of product that comes out in 1 roll.
But for those who dry under-eye areas I would recommend using an eye-cream prior to application or else it'll look all flaky.Very natural and light finish,stays on for a good 6 hours of school ^_^.And it conceals and illuminates :D And the best part is I use it as an overall concealer for my face.Apart from the eyes I just on the nose and nose corners,centre of the forehead in a fan shape and the mouth corners.I know it's not meant for those areas but I haven't had any problems with it.Instantly brightens up the complexion with a super natural finish :D And its only for SR 24 talk about the cheapness :P

Review: POND'S Age Miracle Anti-Ageing Tinted Moisturiser

I know right!! Finally, I feel like I've tried and tested this product enough to write a review..**YAY** I know I am barely a 17 and I don't need this product, but what could I do,there's literally no concept of tinted moisturisers or BB creams here..so I was super excited to try this one you know after all "Prevention is better than cure" ;) just kidding

Like all the other products in its Age Miracle series this one too comes in a red and white glossy box.On the inside we have a really cute kinda like a deodorant shaped squeeze container with a thin nozzle.There you go pictures of it on either side.Also,has POND'S signature scent which doesn't linger on for long.

Now for those who are new to Tinted Moisturisers ,allow me to explain :)

It's your normal moisturiser with a hint of colour,like a "super thin liquid-y" version of your foundation.The coverage is rather sheer and is often used brighten up the face.So this what the product claims:

" Experience the dual power of anti-ageing skincare with a natural no make-up finish with our light-weight, tinted anti-ageing moisturiser.With super-fine colour-spheres to even out your skin tone and the same active ingredients of one of our best anti-ageing moisturiser,Advanced CLA4 Complex + SPF 15 PA++ for that smooth natural finish with a luminous radiant glow."

That's a little too much to type.anyways WHAT I THINK:

I tested this on me for at least 4 days? I guess.. and I have a combination/oily skin and it's super sensitive :(

So what was my fist impression.hmm..

 I had put this on after my daily moisturiser,so it glided on smoothly,no doubt,although I was disappointed to know tinted moisturisers don't cover blemishes well..but the product doesn't really claim that.Also when I was done applying , it kinda gave a matte sunscreen-ish finish,but my complexion had really brightened up and was even toned.So that's a plus-point and it really gave me a natural look.By the end of the day, I looked like I dipped my face in grease especially my nose area,but the next day it was less greasier with the help of a setting powder.Definitely its not a long-lasting product as my faced looked smoked out at the end,but the good thing is it really smooths out the skin,filling in fine lines and made my pores look small ,reduced redness and it's moisturising enough,so it's a good product for dry/normal skinned people.As for oily skins,I might not recommend it.Also has SPF :D,great for school/summers.

HOW I USE IT:

I take a rather large amount and gently rub it onto my face ,then dab in extra product on blemishes and dark circles.Later set it with a translucent powder.I bought it in the shade Sheer Rose (02) which is good for me.This product is available in Sheer Ivory (01) and Sheer Honey (03) as well.I have included pictures of the product in action.

 Don't mind the veins,but as you see it has a luminous/shiny finish on my wrist and the high point of my face like my cheek-bones and nose tip. .But this shade looks a little dark on my wrist.

FINAL RATING:

• I give it a 4/5 rating
• I might buy it again, but I would want to try other alternatives
• Good for dry and ageing skin
• Limited number of shades :( 
• Cost me SR 35 for 30 ml container, so does well enough for its price
